Awesome guest at kids' play
The lead singer of the Fray attended my daughter's play the other night. He told her she did a good job of singing and acting in her role as "Mac TeaVea" the computer-obsessed kid in Willy Wonka.
Yes, quite lovely. But now I have Isaac Slade on the brain. I kept staring at a particular young man who was on our flight from Cleveland to Denver last night because I thought he was Isaac Slade. He looked very much like him and he was riding in first class. Joe pointed out that the man in question had some sort of sever injury and had gauze bandages wrapped around his mid-section and had to have airport transportatin to baggage claim. He looked so sad. Then I thought maybe he was a young soldier back from Iraq or Afghanistan. (See how my mind can conjure up all sorts of things?)
